Farm Ministry Projects

Hens Of Hope - Appalachia

Participant families receive laying hens, chicken sheds, equipment, and feed. The ownership of all the components is retained by the ministry. Recipient families keep an agreed portion of the eggs, then deliver the additional eggs to a community food pantry. Participants who do not deliver eggs to the food pantry lose the privilege of participation. This project allows people to maintain their dignity.

Garden Ministry - Appalachia

Families receive seeds, fertilizer, lime, hand tools, and canning supplies to produce and preserve their own produce to nourish their families and maintain their independence. A percentage of their vegetables and produce are committed to donate to local food pantries. This program is empowering and gives participants the ability to feed their families and neighbors.

Natural disaster response

Natural disaster response areas often need not only meat and cheese, but also clothing, building materials, school supplies and toys. These items accompany protein (meat & cheese) shipments.
